1984 was not necessarily the best for the group on several fronts.  first, Val J. Golding departed for Shrievesport, Louisiana for the Apple /// world.  The IRS was starting to look at the wild growth the group had and the way in which it was spending its funds.   

But it wasnt all bad news.  January gave a new look to the magazine with the beautiful graphics that would grace the cover until 1990.
