Users Group produced books and documents. Much of the original information came directly from Apple Computer, Inc. in the early days of the Apple II production.

A.P.P.L.E. (Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange) was one of the most influential Apple II user groups, founded in the late 1970s. The group was instrumental in creating documentation, sharing knowledge, and building a community around Apple II computers.
